After months of speculation, Yash Raj Films announced that the title of the SRK-Katrina starrer is "Jab Tak Hai Jaan", reports TOI on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. And, just like any other Yash Chopra-Shahrukh movie, the newly-released title has created a stir worldwide.
The title of Yash Chopra’s next had been under wraps for quite some time. Anticipation ran high among media and fans as they waited eagerly for the name.
While many speculated that the title will be announced on Yash Chopra’s birthday,Shahrukh Khan took to Twitter on Monday, September 10, 2012 and shared the much-awaited news.
King Khan tweeted, “Tomorrow...the tıtle of yashjı's fılm wıll be released. Would tell u now...but wıll have to kıdnap u all and keep u tıed down…ha ha!”
The world woke up to a full-page spread of the first poster of “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” accompanied by a poem by Aditya Chopra.
Yash Chopra keeps alive the quintessential Yash Raj Films' tradition of using song lyrics as titles of the Hindi films it produces and distributes by naming its latest “Jab Tak Hai Jaan”.
Reminiscent of Hema Malini’s popular number "Jab tak hai jaan, jaane jahaan, main naachoongi” from “Sholay”, the title rose to the expectation for many and disappointed several others. Elated and thrilled fans took to Twitter and shared their reactions about the name. Here’s a quick sneak peak:
