IMT Ghaziabad says no to CMAT; Admissions Process Begins through CAT

Hall ticket of CMAT will be available from Sept 17. About 60,000 students have applied for the September CMAT 2012. CMAT 2012 will be held from September 27 to October 1, 2012.

The CMAT registrations closed on September 7, 2012.

All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE ) will be conducting the test twice. Students will have the option of choosing the better score when applying to the institutes.

The number of exam centres has been increased to 64 to include all students.

The final results are likely to be declared by October 17.

Common Management Admissions Test (CMAT) 2012 is a B-school entrance exam that is conducted by All India council for Technical Education (AICTE).

It is an entrance test for admission to 4,000 colleges that offer MBA and 500 colleges which run postgraduate diploma programmes in management.

CMAT will have four sections with multiple choice questions (MCQ).

The duration of the exam is three hours or 180 minutes.

Appear for the test of CAT 2012/ XAT 2013 / GMAT (2010 onwards).
CMAT 2013 is valid for IMT-Hyderabad and IMT-Nagpur
Fill up the oline Application Form at www.imt.edu, available till December 10,2012.
Pay the Application Fee by Credit/Debit Card or Demand Draft of Rs 1750/- favouring "Institute of Mangement Technology", payable at Ghaziabad or Delhi.
Final Selection based on CAT/ XAT / GMAT score(CMAT for IMT-H and IMT-N), written communication and personal interview to be held at Ghaziabad, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Bhopal and Koltata.

Eligibility:

3-year bachelor's degree in any discipline (or equivalent) with 50% or higher aggregate marks. You may also apply if appearing for the final year degree examination in 2013.
